Samon gas detectors set standards in the refrigeration industry

SAMON was founded in Sweden in 1990. For over 30 years, the company has been working continuously to understand the changing requirements of the refrigeration industry and to provide customized solutions for its customers. The market never stands still: from the introduction of new refrigerants to technological advances in control systems, SAMON is constantly evolving with the industry to stay at the cutting edge.

SAMON – Paving the way for standards in the refrigeration industry

For over a decade, SAMON has played an active role in the development of standards for the refrigeration industry. This includes contributing to what is arguably the most important European standard for the industry, EN 378: Refrigerating systems and heat pumps – Safety and environmental requirements. In addition, members of the team have contributed significantly to the standard EN 14624: Performance requirements for portable leak detectors and stationary Gas Detectors for all refrigerants.

A key aspect of SAMON’s work is to share knowledge and expertise to ensure that the standards developed are practical, appropriate and beneficial to the industry as a whole.

Several SAMON team members are recognized by the industry as experts in refrigerant gas detection. Because of this expertise, they have been invited to contribute to the development of the relevant standards, which are binding for the entire industry. On a day-to-day basis, these experts are available to customers to develop customized solutions that are individually tailored to their needs and challenges.
