The explosion protection regulations (EX-RL, DGUV Regulation 113-001) of the BG RCI contain important safety rules. There is also Technical Information 4 ‘Safety Rules for Biogas Plants’ (TI 4) from the Federal Association of Agricultural Professional Associations, which contains information on the construction and operation of agricultural biogas plants.
If gas warning devices are used for room monitoring in biogas plants, they should comply with at least Ex Zone 2 according to TI 4.
