Description
The GasDetector IR 220 refrigerant sensor is used where refrigerants can escape. The GasDetector IR 220 reliably detects refrigerant leaks and can therefore provide an early warning. There are 14 different sensors available for a wide range of common refrigerants. The unique design of the IR 220 measuring head housingensures that the substance to be monitored can diffuse quickly and reliably into the measuring chamber and is detected immediately. Because safety counts.
The GasDetector IR 220 sensor can be programmed for either of two operating modes:
● Standalone mode
The integrated alarm evaluation is switched on. Two alarm levels with switch-off hysteresis can be stored in the programming. Alarm level 1 (pre-alarm) switches a non-latching NC contact and alarm level 2 (main alarm) switches a latching NC contact. After falling below this alarm threshold, the alarm is retained and must be acknowledged via the reset input. A fault signaling contact signals malfunction and overrange. In addition, the measured value is output as a 4 – 20 mA current signal for further processing.
● Transmitter CL
If the alarm evaluation functionality is not required, the sensor can be operated with the integrated CL option. In this case, the sensor supplies the measured gas concentration in the form of a 4 – 20 mA current signal for
further processing in an alarm control center; the alarm switching contacts are not activated. Suitable signal conditioning instruments include GMC 8043, GMC 8032, GMC 8022, GMC 8022E, GMC 8364, GMC 8420.
