FBA 2018 – Remote gassing adapter

The remote gassing adapter can make regular maintenance, the necessary adjustment and calibration of the sensors much easier.

If gas sensors are installed in places that are difficult to access or very high up, the effort required to reach these devices during maintenance intervals can be quite considerable. Scaffolding or ladders have to be erected, machine components dismantled or similar.

However, remote gassing adapters FBA 2018 mounted in easily accessible areas can significantly reduce this maintenance effort. The appropriate test gas can be supplied to the ExDetector series sensor via a permanently installed test gas line, while an interface to the Calibrationbox-i enables smooth one-person calibration of the sensors.

Conclusion: The maintenance effort is considerably reduced. Direct access to the sensor is only required if the sensor needs to be replaced.

Description

The FBA 2018 remote gassing adapter facilitates the operation and maintenance of ExDetector gas sensors in hard-to-reach installation locations.
Common installation locations:
● inside machines
● on the building ceiling
● in low-lying locations, such as shafts
The FBA 2018 remote gassing adapter is installed in a location that is easily accessible to operating personnel. A permanently installed test gas line connects the sensor fitted with a permanent fumigation cap to the remote fumigation adapter.

The calibration interface of the sensor is also relocated to the FBA 2018. An intrinsically safe (Ex-i) connection for docking the Calibrationbox-i is located here.

Developed for use in Zone 1 + 2 hazardous areas.

 

Connections: Two connections at the top for fixed connection of the data cable and PVC hose of the remote gassing unit to the sensor.

A connection at the front for the test gas hose. To the left of this is an intrinsically safe (Ex-i) connection for the Calibrationbox-i.
